Yes, I hope you got what is it now. It’s polystyrene. It is like one of the most not environmentally friendly product invented. People have the view that it cannot be recycled, however it could be if you wanted it. Only a few would do it because the cost to recycling styrofoam is too expensive if economies of scale is not reached.
Although it is cheap to produce and easy to use, cheaper version of polystyrene boxes used for take-away purposes in restaurants isn’t really good for your health anyway. In my opinion, California made the first brave and good move to an environmentally friendly world. I guess fast-food restaurants might be cursing their way to a better world by now. Chill guys, you don’t want your future customers to avoid eating your food next time right? Let’s be a little bit more health conscious now rather than being health-fanatic next time!
